We watched a video about the lifecycle of the butterfly, discovering how a caterpillar transforms by metamorphosis into a butterfly. We learnt terms like caterpillar, larva, pupa and chrysalis.
Using all this knowledge, we constructed a lifecycle wheel. We had to cut carefully, fold accurately and use a safe method to punch holes in pieces of card. We joined the pieces of card using a split pin.
