Designing Propaganda Posters
3rd Jun 2025
Mrs Lowry arranged for our class to visit Armagh County Museum for a Propaganda Poster Workshop.
At the museum, we were introduced to a range of posters used during the World War 2 era as propaganda. We discussed the features made them a good poster or not.
Did they get their message across clearly? We agreed that a good slogan that was easy to read was important plus a colourful, meaningful image that took centre stage.
Next we discussed current issues that we would like to address in a poster of our own.
It was then time to get down to some planning before creating our group poster which we presented to the rest of our class.
