This afternoon we sorted animals into different groups. I was impressed by the creative ways pupils grouped their selections. There was a lot of discussion and pupils were introduced to new vocabulary such as vertebrates and invertebrates. We talked about body coverings, body temperature, breathing organs, types of eggs and live young.
